Duh!

I can’t even say that life is uneventful, because it’s not.  I’ve been having the time of my life.  I think I just lack the dedication it takes to post on a blog regularly.  Plus, while my life seems fun and exciting to me, I doubt anyone else has any desire to read about the minute details. 

I’ve covered this all before somewhere I’m sure, so I’ll stop regurgitating thoughts and leave you with this:

For future reference when I say “we”, I am speaking of Chris and I. Why am I speaking for Chris? I’m not, but since my life is very much entangled with his, it only makes sense to refer to “us” at times instead of just myself.

Hypocrites are worse than pond scum. I find it entirely annoying that “friends” are still giving us hell about “changing” or “not caring” solely because we aren’t available at their beckon call.

What do you expect? For us to just sit around for the rest of our lives waiting for your call?

You can go out and have fun. Get into relationships. Have a merry old time, but the moment we do it; God forbid! It’s like we’ve committed some cardinal sin. How dare we live our lives? Who do we think we are to do what makes us happy?

I don’t control Chris. I don’t tell him who he can and can not talk to, or hang out with. I don’t give him a daily time limit that he’s allowed to be online, or on the phone. I don’t go through his email, or text messages, or make him give me a detailed playlist of everything he’s done in the last 24 hours.

No. Neither of us are available 24/7 like we used to be. But is that such a bad thing?

As a “friend” shouldn’t you be happy for us? Shouldn’t you be understanding of the situation, and realize that we aren’t “avoiding” you, but simply living life.

Chris said it best, “You can be happy in your relationship, and forget that I exist until you need a shoulder to cry on; but the moment I’m happy and doing the exact same thing you do it’s “You’ve changed!!!!”.”

When did “friends” start wanting their friends to live lonely miserable lives; just so they can have that security blanket?

Of course we care. Of course we cherish our friends, but for fucks sake, could you get off your high horse and show us the same cortesy we’ve showed all of you?!

What the fuck ever happened to respect?

When did friendship start coming with a “since we’re friends I can do whatever I want” clause?

Yeah, we’re friends. I’ve got your back. You got mine. Right?!

But, that doesn’t give you permission to take something I’ve worked hard at, and do whatever the hell you please.

Do you see me going into your underwear drawer, cutting holes in all your shit because I feel like since we’re friends I can do whatever the hell I want with no ramification?

There is a breaking point; a proverbial line that shouldn’t be crossed. As a friend, you can dance around like the biggest shit eating retard, and I’ll stand by you through it all; until you take your happy ass past that point of no return. Then all bets are off.

And, don’t bother coming at me like you wouldn’t do the same. Everyone has a breaking point. Just because my anger or rationing doesn’t make sense to you, doesn’t mean it’s not warranted.

The entire situation has left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth.

I’ve lost faith in my circle.

I’m a very proud person. I don’t like asking for help; no matter what form, be it financial, emotional or otherwise. So, when I do ask for help, it’s pretty dire. I would never ask for help from anyone that I wouldn’t offer every reasonable amount of support to if and when they needed it. I understand that if you can’t help you can’t help. I’d never want to make someone feel like if they couldn’t help I’d let a friendship go. However, if you say you can’t help, and then the very next day are raving about the fun time you’re having on your spur of the moment vacation; you can pretty much rest assured our friendship is going to take a major hit.

Anyone who angers you conquers you.

I won’t give in to anger. But, consider my eyes open and our friendship strained.

So instead of sitting in the most uncomfortable chair, blogging my little head off, I’ve been (slowly) walking around the house taking random pictures of mundane things.

Like the refridgerator.

I’ll be posting a Key Lime Pie recipe, and reviews of a few soups on domestic princess this weekend. I have an interview with Devin Alexander next week. Cross your fingers and wish me luck!
